Sales Associate<\/h5>\n
Part-Time: 10-25 hours per week<\/em>.
Available shifts: Primarily weeknight and weekend shifts. Please note that at least one weekend shift per week will be required.
Benefits: $14\/hr, increasing to $15\/hr after probationary period; Employee discount.
Age Requirement: 18 and over.
<\/em><\/p>\nI’m Board is seeking an outgoing, friendly, observant, neat, and well spoken individual to interact directly with the best customers in the world and help guide them to amazing experiences.<\/p>\n
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Friendly, personable, and able to engage with any customer who walks through the door.<\/li>\n
- Cognizant that most of our customers are not necessarily “gamers,” and are looking to you for advice on products that will be fun for them<\/em>.<\/li>\n
- Have a general understanding of the products we sell, and a willingness to learn more. Note that product expertise is not our principal reason for hiring. Game knowledge is important, but personality and ability to engage with customers is more important.<\/li>\n
- Enthusiasm to share the excitement of the hobby with all people and groups.<\/li>\n
- Detail oriented, with an ability to recognize and complete the many tasks around the store that need addressing.<\/li>\n
- Comfortable handling money.<\/li>\n
- Willingness to do cleaning, including bathrooms.<\/li>\n
- Minimum of 18 years of age.<\/li>\n
- Previous retail store experience preferred, but not required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Responsibilities Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Provide exceptional customer service, and create a shopping experience that will encourage customers to return by demonstrating friendly personal presentation, good product knowledge, and professional handling of all situations.<\/li>\n
- Share game knowledge and information with customers and members of store team.<\/li>\n
- Maintain visual standards for proper presentation of products, including the housekeeping standards of cleanliness and neatness.<\/li>\n
- Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.<\/li>\n
- Assist in the operation of the store including stocking and arranging products and supplies.<\/li>\n
- Assist in organized and casual play activities as assigned.<\/li>\n
- Work and communicate well with others, regardless of position, to achieve best results.<\/li>\n
- Appropriately represent the store to customers and co-workers, even when off duty.<\/li>\n
- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.<\/li>\n
- Take responsibility for own performance and consistently meet commitments.<\/li>\n
- Display an ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.<\/li>\n
- Display an ability to learn quickly, speak and communicate fluently, and present a positive image at all times.<\/li>\n
- Ability to reliably report for work on time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Physical Requirements (with reasonable accommodation)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Able to actively move about the store and sales floor during all scheduled hours.<\/li>\n
- Able to pack\/unpack shipments, arrange and move store fixtures and merchandise packages weighing up to 50 pounds.<\/li>\n
- Able to reach for merchandise using the ladders, step stool, etc.<\/li>\n
- Able to use store equipment including cash registers, scanners, shrink wrapper, cutters, scissors, hand truck, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
